Easy Ways to Add More Scripture to Your Daily Routine (Even When You’re Busy)
Even the busiest person can incorporate more of the Word into their daily routine. Read on for simple ways to accomplish this!
Even the busiest person can incorporate more of the Word into their daily routine. Here’s how:
Verse of the Day
There are a number of sites that have a verse of the day that can be emailed to you, including right here at MoMo634. Click on any verse to subscribe for free!
Reading Plans
Additionally, many sites offer Bible plans on a number of topics or just reading through the Bible on a schedule. It takes just a few minutes to read through each day. Additionally, there are sites that allow the user to to create a custom reading schedule depending on the preferred Bible version, how many days per week, Old/New Testaments or the whole Bible, etc., and can even be added to your daily calendar!
Audio Bibles
Audio Bibles can be used for Bible plans, your daily commute, while exercising, or listening while you’re getting ready in the morning or at bedtime.
Podcasts
In addition to MoMo634, there are a number of Bible-based podcasts. There are several good ones here on Substack. Check out my curated recommendations halfway down on the homepage.
Electronic Devices
Consider changing the wallpaper on your smartphone or laptop to a Bible verse.
Other Scripture Pictures
Do an internet search on your favorite verse, but click “images” and you’ll find a number of memes/pictures for many verses.
Parallel Studies
YouVersion, BibleGateway, and BibleHub are just three sites that have parallel Bibles and other Bible study tools. Additionally, Parallel Plus (website and app) allows for this type of side-by-side study.
Social Media
We often hear that social media is “brain rot,” but there are a number of Facebook groups that post several verses per day. Additionally imaged-based sites like Pinterest and Instagram have a plethora of gorgeous pictures, memees, and reels.
In Other Languages
Incorporate Bible study into your study of other languages. I’m studying Spanish and French, so I set my Bible apps for other languages. The Parallel Bibles/App mentioned above can also help you with this.
Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.”
Are there any other tips you would add to this list?
